I grew up in Springfield, Illinois before heading off to Hope College in Holland, Michigan for undergrad. I started out studying literature but fell in love with the ancient world. Before starting my masters in liturgical history at the University of Notre Dame, I worked for a couple years as a barista. Last year was my first (albeit abnormal) year at Princeton in the Religions of Mediterranean Antiquity PhD program. I study early Christian and Jewish rituals and how those rituals borrow or differ from their surrounding world, especially in places like Syria, Egypt, and the horn of Africa. I love playing video games, board games, any kind of sport, and enjoying any and all movies.
Holler at me in the dining hall or shoot me an email if you want to chat or just want an excuse to have someone buy you coffee!
