Jordan Thomas

Hey Rockyites! Welcome to the best (Residential) place of all! My name is Jordan. I am originally from Newark, New Jersey (I promise the city is better than the airport you may have seen-sorry for the flight delays and traffic, friends), but now Rocky is my home. I am a junior concentrating in the Woodrow Wilson School with dual certificates in Portuguese Language and Culture and in African American Studies. In the Woodrow Wilson School, my policy focus is in Human Rights, and I plan on pursuing a career in Law in my after-Rocky life. Outside of the classroom, I love engaging in a wide variety of service opportunities, and have probably broken that golden rule about not putting too many activities on your plate. I am involved in the Community House Executive Board, the Pace Center Service Fellows Program, the Scholars Institute Fellows Program, the OIP Advisory Board, Students for Education Reform, the U-Store Board of Trustees, and have even flirted with Tango Club in the past. More personally, I love bike riding, football (Go Pats!), fishing, video games, all types of music (Rock and Alternative especially), and Big Hair (what gave it away?). Most importantly, I love getting to know people, so say “hey” and feel free to spark up a conversation. I hope you all are as excited as I am for this year! Get ready to get Thunderstruck!
