Bio/Description

Hi y’all! My name is Kasey and I’m super excited to meet everyone! I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio but I grew up in South Jersey. I am concentrating in Music focusing on composition, but I am also a pre-med! I’m getting certificates in Piano Performance and Engineering Biology. On campus, I’m founder and president of the Friends of MSF (Doctors Without Borders) club, musician in the Princeton Music Outreach club, and a Learning Consultant with the McGraw Center. In my free time, I’m either practicing in the Woolworth basement, working in the studio or making snack runs on Nassau!

Hometown:  Cincinnati, Ohio

Major:  Music

Certificate(s):  Piano Performance, Engineering Biology

Favorite memory from my first year at Princeton:  Practicing on the Rocky common room piano at 6am. Bach with the sunrise behind me and an empty common room was *chef's kiss*

Princeton class that shaped the way I think and why: Literature and Medicine (SLA 368) We approached so many different ethical dilemmas present in the medical field through personal stories in literature and visual arts. Each week focused on a different medical procedure, disease, or epidemic and presented novels and short stories that challenged the 2D perspective we often have nowadays. This class really changed the way I understood the role of medicine within different societies, communities and cultures.
