Bio/Description

Welcome to – or back to – Rocky! As Assistant Dean for Studies, my primary responsibility is helping you thrive academically, especially during your first and sophomore years. I work closely with Peer Academic Advisors (PAAs), Resident Graduate Students (RGSs), faculty advisors, and the rest of the Rocky staff to ensure you succeed at Princeton. I’m always available to chat about anything that may be on your mind; feel free to stop me in the dining hall to say hi, come by my office, or make an appointment to talk.

I’m originally from Kentucky, and I’m a Princeton undergraduate alum from the Class of 2016 (I lived in Whitman, but I have renounced my affiliation in favor of Rocky). I was an independent major in linguistics, and I did my thesis research in the Baby Lab. After graduating from Princeton, I got a PhD in developmental psychology at Vanderbilt University. Since then, I’ve held a few different positions at Vanderbilt and Princeton, most recently in the Center for Career Development where I helped graduate students think about their post-Princeton careers. I’m so excited to be back in the Residential Colleges system working to support Rockyites!

As a developmental psychologist, I enjoy working with college-age students because of the multitude of transformative experiences you each will have during the next few years. It’s exciting to watch you each discover new passions and interests and find a place for yourselves on campus and beyond. Outside of work, I’m an avid Dolly Parton fan and an aspiring children’s book author.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing you around Rocky and getting to know you personally. Please sign up for a meeting with me, even if you just want to introduce yourself!
