Simone Marchesi is associate Professor of French and Italian. He holds a Laurea from the University of Pisa (Italy), an MA from the University of Notre Dame and a PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton. He has published books on Dante, Boccaccio, and contemporary indie rock music in Italy. Married to a classicist and father of an avid soccer player, Virginia, he spends his time between Princeton and the coast of Tuscany, where he eagerly sails his Laser every summer.
