I was born in Ethiopia and lived there until my family moved to the U.S. when I was 11 years old. Since then, I've been living in the same city (Silver Spring) in Maryland and I've really grown to love it, especially because it has a large Ethiopian community that made the transition to the new country much easier when we first got here.

Princeton class that has shaped the way I think: COS126 has shaped the way I approach lot of problems: rather than being overwhelmed by the scale of the problem or the bigger picture, it is often much more useful to break it down into smaller and smaller components.
Favorite memory from first year at Princeton: My favorite memory was working at reunions. It was super fun and we got to talk to people from different class years!
